If you go to Telluride during the winter and happen to go skiing there are some amazing restaurants on the mountain that you can not miss! I repeat can not miss! The restaurants get crowded since there are only three restaurants on the mountain and they are all amazing.
Alpino Vino is definitely my favorite restaurant on the mountain. It is the highest restaurant in North America at 11,966 feet. Alpine vino is a twist on an Italian Restaurant. Anything you order you will love!
We started with their famous Charcuterie Board the Antipasto ( A selection of fine cheeses and cured meats with fresh bread, extra virgin olive oil, dried fruits, and nuts, truffle honey, stone ground mustard and rosemary crisps) it is delicious and equally beautiful! It is beautifully displayed as you can see in the photo below. The Antipasto is a must get when you go to Alpino Vino.
Then I shared the the Prosciutto di Parma Panino (Buffalo Mozzarella, Salsa Aurora, Arugula) with Tomato Basil Soup this is an amazing Panini so delicious and the cheese pulls apart from your mouth. All of their Paninis are delicious especially their famous grilled cheese.
The view makes it all worth it and when your eating amazing food its like your in heaven.
I don’t have pictures of the other two restaurants, but I’ll describe them to you. Giuseppe’s is definitely more casual than Alpino Vino and cheaper, but still as delicious! Its a tiny and I mean tiny restaurant so you will probably be sitting outside. I suggest you get the Black Bean Sate its a healthy delicious filling meal and I had chorizo and avocado. The Blackened Chicken Pasta is also so creamy and delicious. It is insane how much food Giuseppe’s cranks out in the smallest kitchen. The other really yummy restaurant on the mountain is the french restaurant Bon Vivant . I personally think the best item on the menu is the crepes they are so delicious and the toppings are scrumptious.
If you haven’t been to Telluride you are missing out on a unique and beautiful place. It is a short drive from Phoenix!
